'Gilmore Girls' and 'House' are looking as good as ever

Subtle wit, served up with a slightly harsh twist, is a quality rarely executed well on television. When a show not only gets it, but masters it, pours out generous portions for a full season -- well, you suffer withdrawal when it ends. Fortunately for viewers of "House" and "Gilmore Girls," the dry spell ends next week.
