(AFP) - A masked reveller takes part in the parade of the traditional "bloco" (carnival group) "Cordao da Bola Preta" in downtown Rio de Janeiro, Brazil during the first day of Carnival. Millions of Brazilians danced to the rhythm of samba drums as they celebrated Carnival, even as an art heist here marred the world's biggest street party.(AFP/Vanderlei Almeida)
