Australia's Coles Q1 sales rise 3.2 percent

MELBOURNE (Reuters) - Australian retailer Coles Myer Ltd. , which last month rejected an A$18.2 billion (US$14 billion) bid from a private equity consortium, posted a weaker-than-expected 3.2 percent rise in first-quarter sales, sending its shares down more than 1 percent.
