Retro cellphone for D.I.Y. enthusiasts
14th Nov 2006, 05:03 GMT
The concept of having a retro cellphone is old hat, with Hugler's range making a pretty strong impact so far. Simon Claessen literally took things into his own hands with by placing the innards of a Sagem 926 GSM cellphone into a classic landline case, turning this into some form of Frankenstein-retro-portable. Granted, you won't be able to reply or send any text messages due to the lack of a screen nor access your contacts, but imagine the stares you'd receive while talking to this in public! Only a true D.I.Y. enthusiast will have the time and patience to whip one up at home.
