In line for the PS3

Karen Ducey / P-I Alan Johnson, left, An Nguyen, Shyawn Karim and Matthew Salisbury wait outside Best Buy in Lynnwood on Wednesday for the release of PlayStation 3. For our story on the Wii and PlayStation 3 launches, P-I business reporter Andrea James stopped by some stores in the Seattle region yesterday to talk to people in line for the PS3. She found that many of them weren't buying the consoles for themselves. Instead, they were planning to turn around and sell them, hoping for sizable profits. Read her report from the scene here. Among them was Ron Moses of Woodinville, a 49-year-old car salesman who was using his vacation days to wait in line. He said his girlfriend was making him do it: "You probably feel sorry for me right now," he said calmly beneath his blanket. "It's all about the money, honey." He paused, then acknowledged, "I'm crazy."
