Ames and Barlow stage huge rallies

Mark Calcavecchia held onto the Canadian Open lead on Saturday on a day when Craig Barlow's hole-in-one and Stephen Ames' course record-tying 64 led a stampede to the top of the leaderboard. Calcavecchia, the 1989 British Open champion, started the day with a five-shot lead, and saw it shrink to one after a rocky round of 72. The portly American pro found too much rough and missed too many short putts, and now he has plenty of company as 12 players are within five shots of the lead.
