September brings back home the herds of holidaymakers. They avoided the gloom and strain of our Lebanese summer and replenished, offshore, stocks of energy depleted by the sorry events of the past few months. Beirut reclaims its rightful citizens with a gentle welcome nod. The sun is softer, the air breezier, the skies more luminous and the streets reawaken to a familiar buzz.
