Oil down as U.S. refiners recover

SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Oil prices extended losses on Wednesday as the U.S. oil industry began to pick itself up from the blow of Hurricane Katrina while industrialised nations offered emergency stocks to offset possible fuel shortages.
