BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- Gen. John Abizaid, head of the U.S. Central Command, made a surprise visit Monday to Baghdad to meet with Iraq Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and "reaffirm President Bush's commitment" to success in Iraq, the Iraqi government said.
