After a century, polygamy emerges from Tajikistan's shadows

Polygamy existed in Tajikistanin under Soviet Union rule, but it was very rare. Since the breakup of the Soviet Union, a civil war and nearly a million Tajik men migrating to Russia to work, there's now more women than men and polygamy has become common practice.
