Men's Basketball: Creighton Opens Season Amongst The Ranked
14th Nov 2006, 00:44 GMT
Creighton is ranked in the AP preseason poll for the first time in school history. The 19th-ranked Bluejays will try to prove they are deserving of that recognition when they open the season against Mississippi Valley State on Monday at home. Coming off a 20-10 season where it finished third in the Missouri Valley Conference at 12-6, Creighton returns four starters, including preseason honorable mention All-American guard Nate Funk, and is the preseason favorite to win the conference.
