UBS buys out Canadian partner Deal third major acquisition in five years

UBS AG laid the groundwork for aggressive expansion of its Canadian operations yesterday by announcing the $173-million purchase of its employees' 50-per-cent stake in the Swiss bank's domestic investment dealer.
