(Reuters) - The Stanford Racing Team celebrates with Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Director Tony Tether (R) after they were declared winners of the DARPA 2005 Grand Challenge in Primm, Nevada October 9, 2005. Some 23 robotic ground vehicles started the 241 km (150 mile) desert road test, but only five finished it. Stanford's winning entry, which was named 'Stanley', posted a time of 6:53:53.
