Hynix releases world's fastest DRAM

Hynix Semiconductor, the Korean memory semiconductor supplier, has made available its 16Mx32 512Mbit GDDR4 DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory), which is said to be the fastest and highest density graphics memory of its kind in the world. It is said to operate at 2.9 Gbps and is capable of processing 11.6 GB of data in 1 second.
