Worst. Political ads. Ever.

Filed under: Television, Op-ed I have to agree with Howard Kurtz at the Washington Post. He says that some of the political ads leading into last week's midterm elections were so bad they almost seemed like SNL parodies (especially that Corker ad with the Playboy party groupie) more than real ads created by grown-ups. Everybody - including party leadership, seems to be of the opinion that the year's worst ads came from the Republicans, who must have sensed they were about to get their hinders handed to them. That meant they were labeling every Democrat as a child-molesting, ultra-liberal, terrorist-appeasing atheist who wanted all your tax dollars to go to illegal immigrants. The article is long but definitely worth reading and saving. That's so when political ads hit another new low in two years we can look back fondly at this year's ads.
