Alpine, Highland, Cedar Hills receive safety grant

With the help of a grant, Alpine, Highland and Cedar Hills will quadruple the number of full-time firefighters protecting the cities. The award of $931,500 for nine firefighters comes from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, through a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response grant.
