The market for flu vaccine has been expanded, with new guidelines from federal health officials that recommend annual flu vaccination for more than 238 million Americans. These include: Children 6 months to 5 years old (16.6 million) People ages 2-64 with chronic medical conditions (44 million) Pregnant women (4 million) Healthy people ages 50-64 (33 million) Nursing home residents (2 million) People 65 and older (37.2 million) Healthy family members and others who live with people in the high-risk groups (94.8 million) Health care workers (7 million) Source: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
