Wachovia to buy 2 auto lenders for $4 bln (Reuters)

Reuters - Wachovia Corp. on Monday said it would buy financial services company Westcorp Inc. and subsidiary WFS Financial Inc. for nearly $4 billion in stock to expand its high-yielding auto lending business and enter the California banking market.
