Michigan's Hart Shows Size Doesn't Matter

When Mike Hart arrived at Michigan last year, some of his teammates didn't expect much from him. The 5-foot-9, 192-pound running back with a boyish grin looked more like a student manager than a future star. "The first time I saw him, I was struck by how big he was," said offensive tackle Adam Stenavich, who is about eight inches taller and 130 pounds heavier than Hart. "I couldn't believe that he could be a back in the Big Ten. "I was wrong." Despite barely playing in the first two games and not starting until the fifth, Hart led the Big Ten with 1,455 yards rushing and beat out teammate Chad Henne for the conference's freshman of the year award.
