Lahoud, resign, and leave the Lebanese in peace

From the first minutes after the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, the prevailing suspicion among the Lebanese was that the Syrian regime had a hand in the murder. That these suspicions were confirmed by the United Nations probe into the assassination, is not, as Syria's Ambassador to the United Nations Faysal Makkdad tried to suggest yesterday.
