Pioneer Ndabandaba among crash victims

Gabriel Ndabandaba and Johnny Hattingh, the Sasol Tigers aerobatic pilots who were killed at the Vereeniging Airshow, were experienced flyers and founder members of the team. Ndabandaba was the country's first black aerobatic pilot and also flew Airbuses for SAA.
