12 year old boy needs bone marrow transplant

Filed under: leukemia, Chemotherapy Young Ryan Baker of Stevenson Ranch, California is in need of a bone marrow transplant. Ryan suffers from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, a malignant cancer that originates in cells in bone marrow. In the past he has had chemotherapy and radiation, but now in his second relapse of the disease he needs a bone marrow transplant to help his weakened body fight off the cancer cells. His town is holding a bone-marrow drive to encourage any and all to give blood in order to find a donor.
