United Kingdom: Employment Situation
15th Nov 2006, 11:57 GMT
Employment conditions in the U.K. weakened further in the early autumn, as the claimant count rate held at 3.0% in October, while the ILO rate rose to 5.6% from 5.5% in the third quarter. The results are slightly different from our expectations; we were looking for a 3.1% claimant count rate and a 5.5% ILO rate.
