The hot AivX portable media player

The hot little AivX is a portable DivX media player and a bag of chips. Unlike the TViX media device, this 2.5-inch drive is designed for travel and supports not only DivX 3/4/5, XviD, MPG, and VOB video playback, but also MP3, WMA and OGG audio and JPEG pictures. Sure, you can take it anywhere, but with support for both composite and 1080i/720p/480p HD component video out and 5.1 channel digital coaxial surround sound you might just want to leave it parked next to your home entertainment system. When on the go, the built-in FM transmitter makes for a quick audio connection in your car, hotel, or elsewhere. And hey, it even works as a USB 2.0 storage device on Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms. At 3 x 5 x 0.9-inches, it’s only slightly larger than the 60GB iPod (which’ll run ya $399) but alas, can’t be used as a standalone MP3 player. Available now in 40GB ($220), 60GB ($240) or 80GB ($260) models. [Thanks, Jason] Read | Permalink | Email this | Linking Blogs | Comments © 2005 Weblogs, Inc.
