U.K. inflation remains steady at 2.4% in October

Consumer price inflation in the U.K. remained steady at 2.4 per cent in October, surprising economists who had predicted acceleration in the rate. Falling prices of fuel had offset higher prices in other sectors, data from the Office for National Statistics showed Tuesday.
