File sharing comes to mobile phones -- oh, the horror

Filed under: Cellular, Software, Applications Pogo, a wireless content manufacturer marketing from South Africa, has unveiled that it's released a new file-sharing application meant to be used by wireless phone customers. Customers will be able to share content like ringtones, music, games, videos and more types of content. Is this the start of a new trend -- customers using their cellphones to trade content over newer 3G high-speed wireless networks instead of all the jumbled messes of doing the same thing over traditional networks with a PC? Watch the movie and music industries come out biting over this premise, that's for sure. The Pogo app is a Java app that can downloaded and used even over an older GPRS network.
