Jays pummel hapless Royals

Josh Towers added one more highlight to the best year of his career, helping the Toronto Blue Jays keep their hopes for a .500 season alive. Towers threw a complete game for his 13th win and rookie John-Ford Griffin drove in four runs in his first big-league start to lead Toronto in a 10-1 route of the Kansas City Royals on Friday night.
