Brewery may move.

Brewing giant Lion Nathan may put its five hectare Newmarket brewery site up for sale and relocate to another part of Auckland. Spokeswoman Liz Read says it is an option being considered as part of the company's long term strategic plan. She says the Newmarket site is landlocked, suffers from traffic congestion and would require significant investment to bring it up to standard for the long term. A decision on the plant's future will be made within three months. Property analysts say the site could sell for as much as $100 million.© 2006 Newstalk ZB News
