SoCal wildfire burns 290 acres, briefly threatens homes

LAKE ELSINORE -- Firefighters were struggling on Monday to tame a wind-driven wildfire that has charred dense brush and trees in the hills east of Los Angeles and briefly threatened hundreds of homes.
