England opt for Joyce to step into breach

Ed Joyce may not have made an appearance at the ICC Champions Trophy but he must have made an impression. After serving as a squad member for England's three-week stay in India, Joyce has been named as Marcus Trescothick's replacement in the Test party, leapfrogging two more obvious candidates in his Middlesex team-mate Owais Shah and the 2002-03 Ashes tourist Rob Key.
