Siniora visits Cairo and assures Egyptian officials of good relations with Syria

During his first official visit as premier to Cairo, Prime Minister Fouad Siniora assured Egyptian officials that Lebanon has always sought good relations with its Syria, a country with which it shares "common interests and geographical and historical ties." Siniora continued to speak of his country's intention to maintain strong ties with Damascus during a meeting.
