COLOMBO: Sri Lankan children are being abducted to be trained as soldiers for a group of renegade rebels with the help of the army, a United Nations envoy said yesterday. He added that he had eye-witness evidence of the criminal acts. In its reply yesterday to the UN accusation, the Sri Lankan army said it was doing no such thing and called the envoy's report as completely misleading.
