Filed under: Ovarian Cancer, Prevention According to Swedish researchers, tea drinkers just might have an extra bit of protection when it comes to ovarian cancer. Jeri posted about this yesterday, and here is a bit more specific information for you. In a study of approximately 61,000 Swedish women and their dietary habits over a 15 year timespan, those who drank two or more cups of tea per day were 46% less likely to develop ovarian cancer. The study did not discern between black or green tea. "If these findings are real, they'd be important because ovarian cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women," said Marji McCullough, a nutritional epidemiologist at the American Cancer Society.
