Legendary Australian rally driver Peter Brock dies in car crash

Australian motor racing legend Peter Brock was killed in a rally accident Friday, according to sports officials. Brock, 61, an iconic figure in Australia's sporting scene, lost control of his vehicle in a crucial hairpin bend in the Targa West rally in Western Australia and crashed into a tree, severely injuring himself and his co-driver. He died in a hospital a few hours later, officials said.
