US oil down, Brent steady (Reuters)

Reuters - U.S. oil prices fell in post-holiday trade on Tuesday, while Brent crude edged up as industrialised countries began to release oil from emergency stocks to make up for U.S. output disrupted by Hurricane Katrina.
