Malaria Poses Additional Risks For First-Time Mothers

One of the consequences of malaria has been shown in new research to be an increased likelihood for women in their first pregnancy to develop preeclampsia (very high blood pressure and protein loss in the urine), which carries high risks for both mother and child. [click link for full article]
