Bush visits New Orleans as thousands return home

NEW ORLEANS (Reuters) - Thousands of New Orleans residents who fled Hurricane Katrina returned for the first time to see what was left of their homes on Monday and President George W. Bush went back to the disaster zone as he fought to quell a political crisis over bungled aid efforts.
