Russia begins cutting gas supply to Ukraine over price hike row

Russia has begun lopping off its gas supply to Ukraine after Kiev refused to shell out the increased cost that Moscow wants for the gas, state-owned energy major Gazprom's spokesman Sergei Kupriyanov said. He, however, attempted to soothe fears that the move would hurt other parts of Europe.
