Canada dollar eases on election timing

TORONTO - The Canadian dollar eased further on Monday, closing at its lowest level in 11 weeks, as sluggish energy prices and uncertain election timing kept the currency from keeping pace with a broadly stronger U.S. dollar. Domestic bond prices followed declining U.S. treasuries lower. The currency finished at C$1.1937 to the U.S. dollar, or 83.77 U.S. cents, down from C$1.1902 to the U.S. dollar, or 84.02 U.S. cents, at Friday''s close.
