New Hampshire Goes Red

We talked about the Go Red For Women campaign earlier this year -- a program aimed to help inform women about cardiovascular disease, currently women's number one health threat. Health workers in New Hampshire are now signing on for the New Hampshire Goes Red campaign in an effort to get the word out about a risk many women simply don't know about. To recap, the Go Red campaign uses a red dress pin worn to spark conversation about women's heart health. Because 50 to 60 percent of women suffering from heart disease actually show no symptoms, the campaign addresses the need for women to listen to their bodies early and often.
