Nigeria: Tension Mounts in Edo Over PDP Congress Result

Fresh tension mounted yesterday in Benin, Edo State capital ahead of the next Saturday's state Congress of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the purported compilation of the result of the congress which was yet to be held by one of the factions of the party. The tension is mounting just as the state chairman of the party, Prince Solomon Aguele, wrote the Edo State Police Commissioner demanding for armed men at the venue of the planned congress.
