(Reuters) - Gas pipelines are seen in the Gazprom gas pumping station near the village of Pisarevskaya, some 280 km (173.9 miles) from the central Russian city of Voronezh December 16, 2005. The station near Pisarevskaya is the last pumping station on Russian soil, sending Russian gas via Ukraine to Western Europe. Ukraine urged Russia on Friday to freeze a planned steep price rise for gas while experts from both ex-Soviet states discuss the increasingly bitter dispute that could threaten fuel supplies to a winter-bound Europe.
