Robert Towne on Ask the Dust

Robert Towne is most famous for his Academy Award winning script for Chinatown , which many consider to be a de facto example of a perfect screenplay. He began writing scripts for B-movie king Roger Corman in the 60s, then broke out with a string of hit films in the 70s such as The Last Detail and Shampoo , and is still to this day one of the most sought after script doctors in Hollywood.
