U.S. Initials Expansion of Aviation Rights with the Russian Federation
6th Oct 2005, 23:45 GMT
On October 5, U.S. and Russian negotiators reached agreement on a major expansion of the rights available to our countries' airlines. For U.S. airlines, a large increase in rights to overfly Russian territory will make possible nonstop passenger service between the United States and India, will expand the use of cross polar routings to Asia, and will significantly enhance and make more economical overflights of Russia by U.S.
