Canadiens re-sign winger Ryder

Winger Michael Ryder signed a $1 million, one-year contract with the Montreal Canadiens, the last player to re-sign with the team. Ryder was a candidate for the Calder Trophy as NHL rookie of the year in 2003-04 after finishing with 25 goals and 38 assists. He was drafted by Montreal in the eighth round in 1998. The Canadiens open training camp Tuesday.
