ECMA standardizes WiMedia's UWB

The ECMA (European Computer Manufacturers' Association), which develops standards for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Consumer Electronics (CE), has approved the WiMedia Alliance's physical and Media Access Control layers as the basis of a global ultra-wideband (UWB) standard over IEEE's initiatives.
