Lung cancer isn't defeating Dana Reeves, responding well to treatment

Filed under: Chemotherapy, Lung Cancer I don't think I was the only person who was shocked to discover that Dana Reeves, best known for being married to Christopher Reeves, has lung cancer. Especially so soon on the heels of her husband's death from complications, due to his riding injury more than a decade ago. What is particularly alarming about Reeves' diagnosis, apart from her young son who is now facing the potential loss of both parents, is that Reeves never smoked. Reeves reports that she is responding very well to her treatments and that her tumor is "shrinking and shrinking and shrinking." She says she is defeating every prognosis her doctors have cautioned her about. And after all, she had a great role model when it comes to beating all the odds.
