ESA Charity Game Pack Raises $1.5 Million
15th Nov 2006, 02:40 GMT
The Entertainment Software Association Foundation announced today that it has tallied up the proceeds from the sale of its 2005 Charity Game Pack, and will be donating a grand total of $1.5 million to various children's organizations across the U.S. The pack consisted of Sony's ATV Offroad Fury 2, Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild from THQ, and EA's Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2, packaged together and sold for $19.99. Another heartwarming tale of the gaming industry doing good to get you in the mood for the holiday season, even if they did so by repackaging games that were probably sitting around in a warehouse anyway. It's the thought that counts. Well that, and the large amount of money for the kiddies. Michael Fahey ESA Foundation Press Release [Business Wire]
