S&P predicts rash of ratings downgrades

The first six months of 2006 could see a rash of ratings downgrades among Australian corporations, Standard & Poor's said.The international ratings agency believes ratings downgrades will outnumber upgrades in the first half of the calendar year because of the higher number of companies on credit watch with negative implications.
