Area organizations meet to coordinate assistance

In an effort to bring area organizations together in providing assistance to Hurricane Katrina victims, a meeting was held at the United Way Office on Robertsville Road Thursday. Rick Morrow, director of United Way of Anderson County, and Tony Farris, director of the Appalachian chapter of the Red Cross, realized the need for the two organizations to work together and wanted to utilize the resources of area organizations as well.
